Biography
Krzysztof Cichoń started doctoral studies within Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications in 2011. He defended with distinction his PhD thesis entitled: “Reliable and Energy-Efficient Spectrum Sensing in Cognitive Radio Systems” in April 2017. He has published over 20 papers in international and national journals and in international conference proceedings. In 2012 and 2013 he took part in two short-term scientific missions in University La Sapienza, Rome. He is working in IEEE DySpan-SC 1900.6 Group as a Voting Member since November 2014. Besides, he worked or is working within 7. Framework Programme projects: ICT-ACROPOLIS, NEWCOM#, Cost Action IC0902 and EcoNets- founded by National Science Centre. He is giving classes to international group of students since 2012. Moreover, Krzysztof Cichoń has organized 17th Work Group IEEE DySpan-1900.x meeting in July 2016, he was also a member of doctorate students council in 2014-2016. In May 2017, Krzysztof Cichoń was awarded by Poznań’s Chapter of Polish Academy of Sciences for the best article published in 2016 written by the doctorate student as a principal author. The awarded work entitled: “Energy-Efficient Cooperative Spectrum Sensing: A Survey” was published in IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials being classified by the JCR Reports on the base of compound 5-year Impact Factor as number one in journals ranking within discipline Telecommunications (per 82) and as number two within disciplines Computer Science and Information Systems (per 144).
