1.01.2026With Professor Nelson Fonseca's new term (2026-2027) as President of the IEEE Communications Society, Professor Hanna Bogucka has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), joining the organization's Board of Governors. The CMO's primary responsibilities include contributing to the organization's communication strategy, serving as a brand ambassador, and overseeing the marketing budget. More information can be found here: https://www.comsoc.org/about/board-governors/2026.17.11.2025On November 17, 2025, we hosted Professor Rui Dinis from the NOVA School of Science and Technology and the Instituto de Telecomunicações, Aveiro, Portugal. His visit was part of the IEEE Communications Society Distinguished Lecturers program, which supports research visits by distinguished lecturers selected annually. Professor Dinis delivered a lecture on the design of receivers in systems with nonlinearities.
