Prof. Adrian Kliks and dr. Krzysztof Cichoń talk about their exciting research collaboration
           within COST CA20120 action INTERACT

The Intelligence-Enabling Radio Communications for Seamless Inclusive Interactions
(INTERACT) concept defines technologies to enhance the human experience of both, hu-
man-to-human and human-to-machine, communications. The INTERACT action (COST
CA20120 action funded by the European Union) aims to achieve scientific breakthroughs
by introducing novel design and analysis methods for making future radio communication networks intelligent, meaning aware, adaptive,
and parsimonious and contributing to the creation of intelligent environments. Moreover, it will create a database on real-world scenari-
os, radio channels, and signal data, to feed machine learning tools used to implement many aspects of the intelligent network and envi-
ronments. INTERACT supports the COST policies on promoting gender balance, enabling Young Researchers, and broadening geograph-
ical inclusiveness. In addition, the Action aims at promoting collaborative research across different fields and supporting the networking
among researchers involved in radio communications to gather the different knowledge necessary to address the inclusive complexity of
future intelligent networks. The Action also aims at training young researchers in the field of inclusive radio communications, via annual
           training schools and short-term missions.
Researchers of the Institute of Radiocommunications are not only involved but play a leading role in INTERACT. Prof. Adrian Kliks is the
co-chair of the so-called vertical team VT2 on Transportation. VT2 covers a significant challenge in the framework of autonomous vehi-
cles. It emphasizes scientific challenges related to high mobility, requesting precise knowledge of the radio channel and its time evolu-
tion. Taking into account these high mobility challenges, new physical layers and communication protocols are being designed. Prof Kliks
is also a co-chair of the horizontal activity HA2 on Dissemination. HA2 is devoted to the organization of workshops and special sessions,
the creation and maintenance of the website, and social media. It is also responsible for presenting the Action to external entities and
issuing newsletters and leaflets. He is also on the editorial board of the INTERACT Newsletter.
