“The INTERACT project offers amazing opportunities for cooperation with scientists from
various research centers. This is already another COST action in the field of telecommunications and from
my perspective, the phenomenon, in this case, is the huge involvement of all members in the actions taken. These enor-
mous possibilities result, among others, from the fact that at each meeting there is a lot of time for scientific discussions with partners.” -
says prof. Kliks. - “From the scientific perspective, issues related to intelligent transport systems, for which reliable wireless communica-
tion plays an important role, were particularly important to me. Together with Thomas Blazek from Silicon Austria Labs in Austria, we are
trying to take steps towards tightening cooperation between various centers working in the field of intelligent transport. This is a very
broad topic because it covers aspects related to channel modeling, measurements, and signal processing, but also network and applica-
tion elements. This combination of the world of science and industry creates very good opportunities for joint development.”
Professor Adrian Kliks indicates that “An important element in such initiatives is proper care for the dissemination of information. To this
end, we undertake extensive promotional activities, where a new initiative is particularly important to me, namely the creation of an inter-
esting science podcast. The first episodes are already available online, the next ones are being prepared.”
Dr. Krzysztof Cichoń is the co-chair of the Training horizontal activity HA3. HA3 is devoted to the organization of tutorials in conferences,
scientific training schools, and short-term scientific missions. He is particularly involved in coordination of Training Schools and Training
Days, he has been a speaker at the Dubrovnik Training Day. Dr Cichoń opinion is that “COST CA20120 is a great opportunity towards
increasing cooperation of researchers. It also creates great ways of development for young researchers. As a young PhD student I did two
short-term scientific missions within COST Action what gave me a great boost to my early career. Now it is a time to serve community and
pay a little my debt.”
